Yesterday\u2019s sold-out workshop at the Strawberry Hedgehog<\/a> \u00a0Soap Factory was absolutely fabulous!\u00a0I taught a Mind, Body, Spirit Spring Cleaning class that introduced local desert plants for more happy + healthy this season.<\/p>\n

Flower Essences were the first part of the conversation (learn some quick and dirty facts about Flower Essences in my blog HERE<\/a><\/em>)\u2013 I introduced elixirs of the following:<\/p>\n

Borage<\/strong> \/ Borago off. \u2014 The Flower of Courage \u2013 HEART<\/p>\n

Dandelion<\/strong> \/ Taraxacium off. \u00a0\u2014 The Flower of Survival \u2013 BEING<\/p>\n

Chamomile<\/strong> \/ Matricaria chamomilla \u2014 The Flower of Equilibrium \u2013 SUNNY<\/p>\n

Yarrow<\/strong> \/ Achillea millifolium \u2014 The Flower of Invulnerability \u2013 SHEILD<\/p>\n

St. John\u2019s Wort<\/strong> \/ Hypericum perforatum \u2014 The Flower of Light \u2013 LIGHT<\/p>\n

Castor Oil Plant<\/strong> \/ Ricinis communis \u2014 The Flower of Vitality \u2013 PURGE<\/p>\n

Nasturtium<\/strong> \/ Tropaeolum majus \u2014 The Flower of Patriotism \u2013 WARMTH<\/p>\n

Chaparral<\/strong> \/ Larrea tridentata \u00a0\u2014 The Flower of Detoxification \u2013 DETOX<\/p>\n

Saguaro<\/strong> \/ Cereus giganteus \u2014 The Flower of Authority \u2013 GUARDIAN<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Each person was then able to make their own custom essence\u00a0using up to 3 flowers to take home and experiment.\u00a0They also got some hands on time with Aloe<\/strong> (took home some plants, drank some aloe juice), Stinging Nettles<\/strong> (Eclectic Institute<\/em>Fresh Freeze dried capsules<\/a>, Traditional Medicine<\/em> Nettles Tea, and\u00a0Desert Sage Herbs<\/em> whole plant tincture), Dandelion<\/strong> (Desert Sage Herbs<\/em> Tincture of the root, fresh leaves from the garden, flower essence),\u00a0Chaparral<\/strong> (dried leaves, desert salve from\u00a0Tangled Root Botanicals<\/em>, Desert Sage Herbs tincture), and fresh Rosemary<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

We finished up with a quick chakra conversation and safety info on Essential Oils. Each student was then able to make their own Chakra Balancing Mister with my Chakra Oil kit from\u00a0Mountain Rose Herbs.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Plenty of\u00a0take aways + interaction, every single student stayed an extra hour to keep herbing out with me, truly an honor~<\/p>\n
